Sales of new cars in Russia decreased by 28%.

In the first six months of 2025, over 607,000 new cars were sold in Russia, a 28% decrease compared to the same period last year. The main decline was seen in imported models.

The volume of sales of domestically produced cars exceeded 333,000 units. Although there was a decline here as well, it was not as significant—around 11% compared to the first half of 2024. In June, sales of domestic cars decreased by 12.5%, while sales of foreign cars nearly halved.

The largest decline was recorded in the truck and bus segments—54%. Passenger cars and light commercial vehicles also showed a decrease, but to a lesser extent. Meanwhile, the market share of Russian-made vehicles increased and continues to grow.
