Due to the sewer collector breach, residents of Malye Ryabei were left without water.
On June 8, the city sewer pipe burst in the area of Dzerzhinsky Street. A powerful sewage drain leaked into the houses in the village of Malye Rabi. On June 15, the sewage flowed even more forcefully, flooding the only spring used for drinking water. By the way, dozens of people—villagers as well as gardeners from five cooperatives—used this spring.
After the leak, no answers were given to the residents about whether they could drink the water from the only spring or not. Frustrated, local residents sought help from the Kirov branch of the All-Russian Popular Front. In turn, public activists sent a request to Rospotrebnadzor. Experts took water samples, which contained coliform bacteria. This indicates that the source was contaminated during the accident. These bacteria can cause digestive disorders in humans. Water from the spring should not be drunk without boiling.
Valeria Cheremisyanova, head of the regional branch of the OF. The administration should hold a meeting with the residents and, if necessary, organize the delivery of water, since not all residents have their own wells, and many of them turned cloudy after the accident. However, according to her, they are slow to address the consequences of the accident. The public activists have filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office.
