The repair of the monument to fallen soldiers in Kolyanur has been delayed.
In the village of Kolyanurom, Soviet District, the repair of the memorial dedicated to fallen soldiers has not yet been completed. The work began last year as part of the Local Initiatives Support Project. The total cost amounted to over 3.5 million rubles. Money was collected throughout the village: both residents and local entrepreneurs contributed.
The allocated funds were intended to restore the monument itself, lay a pathway, install lighting, and set up a stele with the names of the fallen. However, to date, only part of the improvement work has been completed — paving stones have been laid. The contractor has not yet begun restoration of the monument or installation of the stele.
Residents have repeatedly contacted the administration, but deadlines for completion are constantly postponed. Initially, the improvement was promised to be finished by May 9, then by Russia Day, and later by June 22. Now, a new deadline of August 1 has been announced. At the same time, officials stated that they are pursuing claims with the contractor.
The regional branch of the People's Front has submitted a complaint to the prosecutor's office.
