Illegal logging has been identified in a leased forest area located on the territory of the Rudnikovsky district forestry. The damage amounted to more than 4 million rubles.
On this fact, law enforcement agencies have initiated and are investigating a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal logging on an especially large scale). Illegal logging occurred due to the lack of proper control by the tenant of the site during forest development and harvesting.
The prosecutor sent a lawsuit to the court to recover compensation for damage caused to the forest fund of the Russian Federation from the tenant to the municipal budget. The defendant challenged the court's decision by appealing to the court of appeal, but his complaint was rejected. Compensation for damages is controlled by the prosecutor's office of the Verkhnekamsky district.
