Kirov resident detained for justifying terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall

      Employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Kirov region identified a resident of the region who, allegedly, through his page on one of the social networks, justified the terrorist attack that took place at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Moscow. The attack claimed the lives of more than 145 people.

      The investigative department of the FSB opened a criminal case against the Kirov resident under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Justification of terrorism committed using information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet).

      According to the department, the penalty for committing this crime is imprisonment for up to 7 years.
