Every second employee in the Kirov region suffers from impostor syndrome.

The majority of working residents of the Kirov region doubt their professional skills and achievements. According to a survey conducted by the social network "Grid" in conjunction with hh.ru About 68% of the region's employees consider themselves insufficiently competent for their position.

Over 70% of the study participants are confident that their successes were made possible by luck rather than their own efforts and experience. Impostor syndrome is most pronounced among young employees under the age of 34 and novice specialists, but it also occurs among top managers.

Most often, women experience a feeling of self-doubt. They are more likely than men to doubt their competencies, are afraid of being exposed as unprofessional, and are less likely to associate success with personal efforts.

Experts note that the older a person is and the more work experience they have, the less likely they are to experience impostor syndrome. However, the problem remains relevant for a large number of employees and requires attention from employers and psychologists.
