
The KCHK branch presented the environmental report for 2024
In 2024, the plant continued to modernize its production facilities and implement investment projects taking into account environmental aspects. The main directions of the environmental protection activities of the KCHK branch were to increase the efficiency of gas cleaning equipment and eliminate the risks of pollutants entering the drainage networks. As part of these activities, acid-resistant floors, pallets, and storm sewer repairs were carried out. Work continues on the disposal of alcohol-containing equipment in accordance with the requirements of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants. The program of industrial environmental control has been completed and the absence of excess standards of permissible environmental impact has been confirmed.
The company regularly conducts activities to improve the environmental competence of its staff, as well as training in the field of environmental protection with the involvement of specialized organizations and specialists from the environmental department.
Cooperation with the scientific community and public organizations of the city and the region continues. In 2024, the KCHK branch became a partner of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Ecology of the native land: problems and ways to solve them." In 2024, it received international status due to the participation of scientists from China, India, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and Uzbekistan. Specialists of the environmental department of the KCHK branch regularly conduct environmental literacy classes in schools in Kirovo-Chepetsk. In 2024, the Good Sprout tree planting campaign was held again: Landscaping of the Yuzhny Park continued. The KCHK branch became a participant in the cleaning and landscaping month of Kirovo-Chepetsk. 12 clean-up days were held in each microdistrict of the city. Also last year, the plant again became the general partner of the Clean Games project, a team competition for collecting and sorting garbage in a polluted area.
The report was presented to the deputies of the Kirovo-Chepetsk City Duma. It will be handed over to the Legislative Assembly and the Public Chamber of the Kirov region, libraries and educational institutions of the city, where everyone can get acquainted with it.
