More than half of Kirov residents support payments for housewives
A bill has been submitted to the State Duma providing for a monthly payment in the amount of the regional subsistence minimum for housewives and housewives. The allowance is provided to unemployed able-bodied citizens who care for children over 1.5 years old, children with disabilities, people with disabilities from childhood of the first group or elderly parents. A prerequisite is cohabitation with a family. At the same time, the average per capita income should not exceed two subsistence minimums. For new Russian citizens, the right to payment will appear only after 5 years of residence in the country.
According to a survey conducted by the SuperJob service, 56% of Kirov residents support the initiative. Among the arguments is the recognition of domestic work as a full—fledged job. 17% of Kirov residents were against it. In their opinion, support measures should be targeted and more thoughtful. 27% of the participants found it difficult to answer, pointing out the difficulties of implementation and many legal nuances.
Interestingly, men and women are equally supportive of the initiative. At the same time, the number of supporters increases with age and income growth: if 50% of young people under the age of 35 support the bill, then 66% of citizens over the age of 45 are already in favor. 64% of those who earn over 100,000 rubles approve of the initiative, and 45% of those who receive up to 50,000 rubles.
