The Kirov region has worsened its socio-economic development indicators over the past year
RIA Novosti experts have published a rating of Russian regions by socio-economic situation in 2024. The Kirov region dropped two places at once during the year: from 48th place in 2023 to 50th by the end of 2024.
According to experts, the rating is based on the aggregation of key indicators of regional development. The results of the rating allow us to assess the level and dynamics of socio-economic development of a region in comparison with other regions of Russia. The indicators analyzed by the experts were divided into four groups: indicators of the scale of the economy and its efficiency, in addition, indicators of the budgetary and social spheres were taken into account.
The integral rating of the Kirov region at the end of 2024 was 44.39 points, shifting our region from 48th place at the end of 2023 to 50th at the end of 2024. The Republic of Komi is in 48th place, previously occupied by the Kirov region.
It should be noted that the three leaders of this rating include Moscow (1st place), St. Petersburg (2nd place) and the Republic of Tatarstan (3rd place). The positions of these regions have not changed since 2023.
The last line of the rating is occupied by the Republic of Tyva with 15.53 points of the integral rating.
