Every fourth Kirov resident under the age of 25 is sold energy products without a passport
The law prohibiting the sale of energy drinks to minors entered into force on March 1, 2025. However, as the SuperJob survey showed, age restrictions are not observed in all stores.
8% of Kirov residents aged 14 to 24 years old said that they had bought energy products over the past three months without any questions. Another 30% were asked for a passport only occasionally. Only 55% of respondents stated that sellers required a document confirming their age at every purchase.
Representatives of the economically active population participated in the survey. Among them, 32% admitted that they use energy drinks to improve their performance — most often these are people who work night shifts, are on long trips or are engaged in emergency modes. Men buy energy drinks more often than women, and the main audience of such drinks is young people under 35.
