Attempted murder in Afanasyevsky district: a man stabbed his roommate's son with a knife

      Investigators have completed the investigation of a criminal case against a resident of the Afanasyevsky district, accused of the attempted murder of his roommate's son. This is reported by the press service of the SU IC of Russia in the Kirov region.

      According to the investigation, on the evening of April 8, 2025, a domestic conflict occurred between the men. During the quarrel, the 64-year—old defendant suddenly attacked the young man and stabbed him several times in the stomach, neck and back.

      The victim managed to resist: he took the knife from the attacker and left the scene. Later, the man sought medical help at the district hospital.

      The accused fully admitted his guilt and repented. At the request of the investigation, the court chose a preventive measure against him in the form of detention. It continues to operate to the present day.

      The investigators have collected enough evidence to prove the man's guilt. The criminal case has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits. He was charged under the article "Attempted murder" (part 3 of art. 30, part 1 of art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
