On February 26, a 38-year-old resident of the Podosinovsky district, being drunk, got behind the wheel of a Motoland and rode along the roads in the village of Demyanovo. At some point, he was stopped and removed from the police department.
When checking the identity of the violator, it turned out that the man had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving while intoxicated by a person who has been subjected to administrative punishment or has a criminal record).
The court agreed with the prosecutor's opinion and sentenced a resident of the Podosinovsky district to 160 hours of compulsory labor with the deprivation of the right to drive a car for two years. In addition, the court applied the provisions of art. 104.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (confiscation of property), making the offender's moped the property of the state.
