The heirs of the winners

      In May, the young guides of the "Heirs of Victory" of the House of Children's Creativity "Inspiration" conducted more than 20 informative excursions within the framework of the Konev – Marshal of Victory project for schoolchildren in Kirov.

      The children were interested in the museum's new exhibitions: showcases with military finds on the battlefields, donated by the Memory Watch search engines, an exhibition of drawings "Drawing Victory" by students of MBOU Secondary School with UIOP 60 in Kirov, a personal exhibition of paintings dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War by Kirov artist Gennady Safronov. The children listen to the guides' story about three paintings by Gennady Alekseevich: "Mortal Combat", "The Story of a veteran", "The war has left the fields" with great attention.

      Recall that the Konev — Marshal of Victory project was launched on March 1, 2024 at the initiative of State Duma Deputy Oleg Valenchuk in cooperation with the primary organization of the Movement of the First DDT "Inspiration". He helps young Kirov residents to become keepers of history. During the first year of the project, 25 participants who received special training conducted 117 excursions, which were attended by 3,128 schoolchildren

      – Children's hands create symbols of memory, so such events are very important for children. Everyone needs to know the past, its heroes, and be true to their traditions, which means they need to understand that without learning from the past, we will never be able to choose the right path in the present," says Oleg Valenchuk.

      Each tour brings new knowledge about the life and military path of Ivan Stepanovich Konev, Marshal, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, our great countryman, outstanding commander of the Great Patriotic War. Each tour is a pride in our grandfathers and great–grandfathers, Soviet soldiers and officers, those who gave us life, blue skies, freedom and independence of the country.

      The Konev – Marshal of Victory project is being implemented at the expense of the budget of the Kirov City municipality as part of the City of Good Neighbors project competition for the implementation of public initiatives dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
