Kirov schoolchildren have invented an unmanned aerial vehicle "Air Shield", which can be used to extinguish fires, the regional government reported.
This project, which was developed by Daniil Solodyankin and Ivan Klyukin, students of the Kirov Technopark, together with representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Kirov region, received the Grand Prix of the Festival of Ideas and Technologies, held at the children's technopark "Kvantorium".
The Fire fighting drone is equipped with a discharge system for an autonomous powder extinguishing device and is designed to detect and extinguish fires in forests.
