Omutninsk resident received eight years of "strogach" for murder
On January 4, in the afternoon, a 39-year-old resident of Omutninsk and his 38-year-old friend drank alcohol in one of the houses on Lenin Street in the village of Beloretsk. During the feast, a verbal quarrel broke out between them, during which the first of the men stabbed his friend in the stomach, and then kicked him in the head. A 38-year-old local resident died on the spot from his injuries.
A criminal case was opened against the attacker under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). The evidence collected by the investigating authorities was sufficient to send the case to court. As a result, the man was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months of imprisonment to be served in a high-security penal colony.
