This day unites our peoples — Russia and Armenia — in memory of heroism and brotherhood," Roman Vardanyan, Chairman of the regional society of the Union of Armenians of Russia in the Kirov region, congratulated Kirov residents on Victory Day.
More than 600,000 Armenians fought on the war fronts, more than 100 of them were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. "I would especially like to mention Marshal Ivan Khristoforovich Baghramyan, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, whose name has become a symbol of valor and military genius," said Roman Vardanyan.
