The bridge over the Moloma began to be examined

      As we wrote earlier, the bridge over the Moloma on the Vyatka highway was temporarily closed to traffic. Today, the specialists of FCU Updor "Prikamye" have begun a detailed examination of the bridge structures. This is necessary to assess their current condition and decide on further actions.

      The reason for the closure of the bridge was an incident that occurred on April 24. According to preliminary information, a road train passed over the bridge, the weight of which exceeded the permissible norm by 5-6 times. Due to excessive load, the first span of the bridge structure sagged.

      The work of experts on the bridge will take several days. During this time, traffic on it will be completely blocked. A detour through Sovetsk has been organized for passenger cars. A detour route through Medvedok has been proposed for freight transport.

      Some bus routes have also changed due to the closure of the bridge. Route 220 now passes through Sovetsk, Vasilkovo, Sorvizhi, Arbazh. Route No. 249 — through Sovetsk, Vasilkovo, Sorvizhi, Tuzhu, Yaransk, Kiknur.

      The heavy truck driver, allegedly responsible for the bridge damage, has been detained. The cargo he is transporting is sealed.
