More than 21 hectares of abandoned agricultural land have been found in the Kirov region.
Rosselkhoznadzor specialists have identified several facts of improper use of agricultural land in the region. The total area of abandoned sites discovered in April exceeded 21 hectares.
In particular, plots in the Nolinsky, Tuzhinsky, Orlovsky and Arbazhsky districts with a total area of more than 15 hectares were surveyed. It turned out that these lands, intended for agricultural production and owned by one legal entity, were overgrown with weeds, shrubs and trees. A warning was sent to the company about the inadmissibility of violations. In response, the organization announced that it plans to mow the grass and other things this year.
Another incident occurred in Urzhum district. A plot of land with an area of almost 6 hectares, intended for grazing livestock and leased by an individual since March 2022, turned out to be completely overgrown with trees and shrubs. The tenant was warned. In addition, the Rosselkhoznadzor sent information to the administration of the Urzhumsky district, as the owner of the land. As a result, as the administration reported on April 22, the lease agreement with the unscrupulous user was terminated.
