Drawbridges "in Kirov": a bridge has cracked across the Moloma River

      Today, on April 24, the news broke online: the bridge over the Moloma River between Orlov and Kotelnich has "parted". In the comments under the Vyatsky Kotelnich public post, eyewitnesses confirm the information, motorists ask which way they should go, and some are outraged that it will now be impossible to get to Arbazh by bus.

      Drivers who were traveling from Kirov to Kotelnich and are currently on the cracked bridge will probably have to return to Kirov or take a detour through Sovetsk, as there is no other way around. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred after heavy trucks passed over the bridge.

      At the same time, the administration of the Kotelnichsky district has already commented on this situation: "Attention!!! There has been a drawdown of the bridge over the Moloma river, movement is impossible. The circumstances are being clarified. Please refrain from traveling to Kirov along the federal highway."

      Recall that the bridge was repaired very recently — at the end of September 2022, emergency recovery work was completed, and traffic was opened on the 23rd. It is worth noting that the repair took place quite quickly: the contractor completed the task of strengthening the bridge supports 9 days earlier. As a result, the work took just over a week.
