Maria Butina checked the conditions of detention of convicts in a colony in the Kirov region

      Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Maria Butina paid a working visit to correctional colony No. 11 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Kirov region. She got acquainted with the conditions of detention and work of the convicts, and also talked with them personally.

      Accompanied by Alexander Novikov, acting head of the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, the parliamentarian inspected the detachments of the residential area, the penal isolation unit, the medical unit and the church of the Great Martyr Anastasia Uzoreshitelnitsa, located on the territory of the colony.

      Maria Butina paid special attention to the organization of meals, provision of medical care and living conditions for convicts. She also assessed the working conditions in the shoe industry, the range of products and the level of wages.

      During the visit, the deputy talked with the convicts, asking them about the availability of medical care, the possibilities of contacting their loved ones and the delivery time of letters and appeals.
