An accordion that reached Berlin was found in the Kirov region.

Gennady Lobanov, a harmonica player from Omutninsk, told about his harmony, which, together with its former owner, a Red Army soldier, went to the front, went through the entire war and met Victory in the Berlin Reichstag.

According to Gennady Lobanov, this accordion was given to him by a fisherman from the Verkhnekamsky district about 30 years ago. "His grandfather went to the front in 1941 and went through the entire war with her, reaching Berlin. I tried to restore the instrument and restore it to its original appearance. Surprisingly, for so many years, not a single harmony voice has been upset!", - said Gennady Lobanov.

In addition to harmonicas, the Omutninsky harmonica player has many other musical instruments in his collection — spoons, rattles, balalaika. Gennady Lobanov also has his own museum, which contains dozens of antique items of Russian culture, which the harmonist has been collecting for more than 30 years throughout the Kirov region. He noted that both locals and Kirov residents, as well as residents of other regions of Russia, come to see the rarities.

It should be noted that the accordion during the Great Patriotic War was not just a musical instrument. The accordion accompanied the soldiers on the front roads, raised and supported the morale of the Red Army. Harmony melodies brightened up soldiers' everyday life, restored the mental strength of the soldiers, and evoked warm memories of home.
