The ecological festival "The Green Voice of Vyatka" was held in Kirov

      The ecological festival "The Green Voice of Vyatka" (0+) was held in Kirov, bringing together those who are not indifferent to environmental issues. The event was held within the framework of the national project "Ecological Well-being" and became a point of attraction for scientists, environmentalists and citizens interested in a sustainable future.

      Timur Abashev, Minister of Environmental Protection of the Kirov Region, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of such initiatives for the formation of an environmentally responsible community and stressed that environmental centers today are becoming not only recycling collection points, but also educational and awareness-raising platforms.

      Popular science lectures were presented to the guests of the festival. Guzel Valeeva, Candidate of Chemical Sciences at Kazan Federal University, spoke about the reasons for the growth of the carbon footprint. Among them are an increase in consumption, the proliferation of disposable products, an increase in the number of cars and the concentration of industry in cities. According to her, an average of 18.5 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per person per year.

      Alexander Ginzburg, Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, continued his scientific work. He gave a lecture on climate change, focusing on the so—called "climate nervousness" - the increase in extreme weather events such as fires, floods, extreme cold and hurricanes.

      The organizers of the festival noted that such events contribute to the dissemination of environmental knowledge and strengthen the culture of respect for nature among the inhabitants of the region.
