Dolgikh will return to the Uzbek for another two months

      As we wrote earlier, today the court considered the petition of representatives of the regional department of the Investigative Committee. They asked to extend the stay of lawyer Anton Dolgikh in jail for two months.

      We also recall that Dolgikh himself opposed the shooting. He stated that his photo behind bars could serve as a reason for bullying. "Everyone is conspiring to cause pain and suffering that cannot be endured," he complained. Despite this, we were allowed to take a couple of shots.

      In addition, Dolgikh opposed the fact that part of the court session was held behind closed doors. He explained that he had not seen his children for a long time and would like to be with them at least here. Nevertheless, the meeting had to be closed for a while, and the relatives and our journalist had to be asked to wait in the corridor.

      After a while, everyone was allowed to come back in. Dolgikh immediately began to communicate with his family, told about his life in jail, in particular, that he lives with one Uzbek cellmate. He also complained that he was allowed to wash for 15 minutes once a week.

      After returning from the deliberation room, the court announced its decision. He granted the investigation's request, extending Dolgikh's stay in jail for two months and two days. The court reasoned that the investigative actions were still ongoing. However, it became known that the investigation was nearing its end.
