
The number of people wishing to change jobs increased by 47% in the Kirov region
According to analysts hh.ru In March 2025, residents of the Kirov region updated more than 34,000 resumes, which is 47% more than in the spring of 2024, and 12% more than in February. Thus, interest in finding a new job in the region has continued to grow for several months in a row.
The leaders in the number of applicants remain representatives of working professions — they have updated more than 7,7 thousand resumes in a month. This is followed by sales and customer service employees (5.8 thousand), as well as transport workers and logisticians (more than 5.7 thousand). The largest increase in interest in employment was shown by the automotive business sector — the number of resumes immediately increased by 112%. Transport workers (+82%), as well as workers (+76%), began to look for work more actively.
Experts explain this activity by a combination of economic and social factors. The Russian economy is slowing down: if in the second half of 2023 GDP was about 5.8%, then in the same period of 2024 it decreased to 3.4%, and the forecast for 2025 is only 1.5–1.7%. At the same time, inflation is outpacing wage growth, and more and more workers are seeking to find more stable and well-paying jobs.
In addition, millennials and zoomers, generations prone to frequent job changes, are taking an increasing share of the market. An important role is also played by the request for flexible working conditions: remote work, flexible schedule, shorter working week. Vacancies with such opportunities are receiving increased attention from applicants.
As noted by Maria Buzunova, head of the press service hh.ru In the Center and Northwest, today employees are increasingly looking for not only decent pay, but also a balance between work and personal life. This makes the labor market in the region more mobile and requires employers to adapt to new realities.
