Veterans of the Kirov region will receive jubilee payments for the 80th anniversary of Victory before the holiday
In honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, veterans living in the Kirov region will receive one-time payments from the Social Fund of Russia. The transfers will arrive in April along with the pension in order to make it to Victory Day.
According to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, 80 thousand rubles each will be awarded to participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War, widows of the dead, citizens awarded the badges "Resident of besieged Leningrad", "Resident of besieged Sevastopol" and "Resident of besieged Stalingrad", as well as former minor prisoners of concentration camps.
55 thousand rubles each will be awarded to citizens who worked in the rear for at least six months during the war (with the exception of those who worked in the temporarily occupied territories), persons awarded orders and medals of the USSR for their work during the war, as well as former adult prisoners of Nazi concentration camps, prisons and ghettos.
According to Nikolay Pasinkov, the manager of the Social Fund's Office in the Kirov region, there are about 2.9 thousand people in the region who are eligible for such payments. Including 35 participants and invalids of the Great Patriotic War.
Veterans do not need to submit an application or apply to the fund — all payments will be assigned automatically based on the data already available.
Previously, the state had already made similar payments for the 65th, 67th, 70th and 75th anniversaries of Victory. Also, in the Kirov region, 10,000 rubles are paid annually to participants and invalids of the war by Victory Day.
