Russian Post has expanded the functionality of its mobile app by adding a new shipping payment option.

Senders can now select the "Pay by Recipient" feature. Then the shipping cost will be paid by the addressee directly upon receipt of the parcel at the post office.
The mechanism of the new service is quite simple. When making a shipment online through the application, you must activate the "Pay by recipient" option and enter all the required data. After the parcel arrives at the destination office, an SMS or push notification is sent to the recipient. When visiting the branch, the addressee pays the shipping fee and picks up his shipment.
