Kirov's "Gates" were hidden behind a transparent banner

Recall that the Kirov city administration recently announced that in the near future the contractor will begin repairing the Gates of the Russian North, installed on the square near the Savior Cathedral. At the end of March, inventory began to be delivered to the "Gate" to begin repairing the crumbling art object. At that time, the Pervomaisky district territorial administration noted that the Gate repairs were planned to be carried out within two weeks. "During this time, we will close the art object with a special large banner with its image, so that the place looks aesthetically pleasing, despite the renovation. We kindly ask residents and guests of the city not to enter the fence," said Sergey Reshetnikov, head of Pervomaisky TU.

Today, on April 2, Kirov residents noticed that the "Gate" was already covered with a banner. It was supposed to help hide the scaffolding, which would probably appear on the "Gate" later, and the condition of the art object itself. The photos that were taken today show that the banner does not hide anything at all: the translucent fabric only coquettishly covers the art object, masking the detached and lopsided elements of the "Gate".

Recall that the lawn on the slope behind the "Gate" also needs to be restored. In early March, an unknown man drove down a slope on heavy machinery and damaged the lawn. The Kirov city hall announced that they would search for the vandal. The other day it turned out that the lawn was ruined by a contractor removing snow. The organization responsible for the damage to the lawn confirmed its willingness to reimburse the costs of restoring vegetation cover. Work will begin in May, when the slope is completely dry.
