In the Kirov region, over the past week, from March 10 to March 16, the Ministry of Emergency Situations eliminated 20 fires. Thanks to the prompt actions of the rescuers, 28 people, including children, were rescued and evacuated.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kirov region, one of the most serious incidents was a fire on March 10 in Slobodskoye. A 4-apartment apartment building on Karl Marx Street caught fire, as a result of which the roof and the annex burned down, and two apartments were significantly damaged. Firefighters rescued 5 people, including 3 children. Two victims, a woman and a 15-year-old girl, were hospitalized. The suspected cause of the fire is an electrical malfunction.
Another fire occurred on March 11 in the village of Arkul in the Nolinsky district, where a private apartment building caught fire. The fire damaged the wall, property and blackened the premises. Fortunately, the elderly owner was not injured, as he was outside at the time of the fire. The preliminary cause of the fire is a malfunction of the TV, which was in standby mode.
On the same day, a fire broke out in the village of Suna at the Pelmeni cafe. The fire damaged the crate and the ceiling of the attic floor. The cause of the incident, according to preliminary data, was a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
On March 14, a veneer drying workshop caught fire in the village of Kilmez, where the roof sheathing burned down and the equipment was damaged. On March 15, a clothing store burned down in the same village. Both fires were caused by problems with electrical equipment, such as a short circuit and design flaws.
In addition to fires, during the reporting period, fire and rescue units went out 12 times to eliminate the consequences of emergency situations on highways.
