A criminal case has been opened in Kirov after a fatal accident on Oktyabrsky Prospekt.

      The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kirov region has opened a criminal case into an accident on Oktyabrsky Prospekt, classified as a violation of traffic rules that negligently caused the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code). According to preliminary data, on March 15, at about 9 p.m., a 57-year-old Lada Granta driver, leaving Nekrasov secondary Street on Oktyabrsky Avenue, collided with a Fav car driven by a 25-year-old Kirov resident moving along the main road. After the impact, the Lada continued to move and collided with three parked cars.

      As a result of the accident, the Lada Granta passenger died at the scene. The driver and another passenger of the Lada received injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized. Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. A number of examinations have been appointed to determine the causes and conditions that contributed to the accident. The Lada Granta driver is a suspect in the commission of a crime. The investigation is ongoing.
