21-year-old resident of Kirov, who kept drugs, went to jail

      In September last year, a 21-year—old resident of Kirov, who had previously been convicted of theft and fraud, took a synthetic narcotic drug from a "cache" near a gas station on the Kirov-Kotelnich road section, which he kept in his possession until it was discovered and seized by police officers. The size of the drugs was 0.28 grams. This is a significant size.

      The offender was detained while driving a car. He was convicted under Part 1 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic drugs). The court agreed with the prosecutor's opinion and sentenced the guy to 6 months in prison. He was taken into custody in the courtroom. The defendant, in turn, appealed the verdict to the court of appeal, but the verdict was upheld. The Kirov resident will serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony.
