According to the regional Ministry of Forestry, five fires, or 42% of the total number, were caused by human activity. These accounted for 13.36 hectares — about 88% of the total area of forest fires.

A fire can also be reported via the round-the-clock toll-free number of forest protection 8-800-100-94-00 or the unified number 112.
