According to the announcement posted at the "Dvizhenie" gas station, starting from August 26, the network's gas stations will sell motor gasoline AI-92 of ecological class 3. The administration of LLC "Chepetsknefteprodukt" apologized for the temporary inconveniences.
The sale of lower-class gasoline became possible due to a government decree of the Russian Federation, which allowed the production, import, and sale of fuel of ecological classes K2, K3, and K4 until July 1, 2027. As reported by the Ministry of Energy, the decision is temporary and is related to the need to ensure stable supplies of gasoline and diesel to the domestic market amid changes in logistics chains and technological constraints.
At the same time, gas stations are required to show customers information about the ecological class of fuel so that drivers can choose gasoline independently. Major oil refineries in Kazakhstan have abandoned quotas for gasoline for the Russian Federation. The gasoline crisis has returned to Kirov: gas stations are empty again, prices are rising, and authorities are asking for patience.
