The residents of Lyangasovo counted 23 dead ducks in the pond on Sportivnaya.

      In the Lyangasovo microdistrict, local residents have reported a mass death of ducks in a pond located near house No. 10 on Sportivnaya Street. According to their estimates, there are 23 dead individuals. As the townspeople explained, the birds often stopped at this body of water, but in August they began to die.

      People sought help from the People's Front. One of the theories put forward by residents is the influence of untreated wastewater. A pipe has been brought to the pond, from which liquid periodically flows out. The townspeople suspect that this is part of a system built in 2017 for pumping groundwater. At that time, the communications were created because water was accumulating in the basement of the house at Youth Passage, 1A, which was being built for orphans. However, it is still unclear whether sewage waste has entered this system.

      In addition, residents have noted a sharp smell of hydrogen sulfide coming from the pond.

      The People's Front warned that it is not advisable to touch the birds' bodies on your own: the birds may have died from infections. To determine the exact cause, an autopsy is necessary.

      In response to the public's appeal, employees of the Veterinary Department have already gone to the site. Specialists will examine the pond and take samples for research at the regional veterinary laboratory. The tests should show whether the birds have infectious diseases.
