In 2026, 167 teachers in the Kirov region are already receiving early retirement.

      The Kirov Region Social Fund Department has published fresh data on the appointment of early insurance pensions for educators. Since January 2026, this social support measure has been granted to 167 employees in the educational sector of the region. At the same time, the total number of active pensioner educators in the region exceeds 16,000 people.

      The right to retire early arises for teachers, educators, and other specialists only when two requirements are simultaneously met. The first is having a confirmed work experience of at least 25 years specifically in the institutions and positions listed in the special Register of Educational Organizations. The second is having an accumulated individual pension coefficient of 30 points or higher.

      However, as emphasized by the Social Fund, the mere fact of accumulating work experience does not automatically mean that a pension will be assigned in the same year. There is a transitional period related to the general increase in the retirement age. The agency provided specific examples: educators who completed the necessary service in 2022 will only be able to receive an old-age insurance pension in the current year, 2026. Those who achieved the required indicator in the previous year, 2025, will have to wait their turn until 2030 — this is the schedule established in current legislation.

      It is also worth noting the staffing changes that came into effect back in 2024. The list of positions eligible for early retirement has been officially expanded. It now includes tutors, physical education instructors, as well as directors' advisors on upbringing and work with children's public organizations.

      For those who doubt the accuracy of their professional experience accounting, the Social Fund recommends taking proactive measures. The most efficient option is to request an extract from the individual personal account through an account on the "Gosuslugi" portal. If the extract reveals gaps or incomplete information, it is advisable to visit the client service of the Kirov Region Social Fund Department in advance, bringing all supporting documents. This will allow for corrections to be made before submitting a pension application.
