Kirov veterinary service: there were no mass complications in dogs after vaccinations.
Against the backdrop of the incident in the Yaroslavl region, where complications were recorded in dogs after the use of the "Multikan-8" vaccine, the Kirov region officially commented on the situation with the vaccination of domestic animals.
As reported by the veterinary management of the Kirov region, complex polyvalent vaccines from domestic manufacturers are used for the immunization of dogs in the region. At the same time, additional control of each batch of drugs is not conducted in the subordinate institutions — all incoming vaccines already have registration certificates confirming their quality and safety.
The department also emphasized that previously there were no cases of mass complications in animals after the administration of vaccines in the Kirov region. Information about isolated reactions or individual intolerance is not specified in the official response.
It should be noted that in the Yaroslavl region, the veterinary center stopped using the "Multikan-8" vaccine from batch No. 20 after reports of post-vaccination complications, including the deaths of dogs. The manufacturer of the drug is conducting an investigation, and the regional veterinary service is preparing an appeal to the Rosselkhoznadzor, reports the newspaper "Kommersant."
The veterinary management of the Kirov region did not specify whether the batch of the vaccine that caused complaints in Yaroslavl was used in the region.
