"In case of emergency, neither an ambulance nor a fire truck will arrive": residents on Lenin Street are blocked due to excavation work.
For several days, the only road access to houses No. 65 and 65a on Lenin Street has been closed. The reason is hydraulic testing of the heating network, during which a defect was discovered on the section from TK-1 to building No. 65. However, instead of prompt repairs, residents have been left with a dug-up road and a lack of information about timelines. As residents told a correspondent from "Newsler.ru," for several days now:
- garbage from house 65a has not been collected — the garbage truck cannot reach the container site;
- parked cars in the yard have been blocked;
- access for ambulances and fire trucks in case of an emergency is virtually nonexistent.
"This is the only entrance. What will happen if someone feels bad or there is a fire? Neither the ambulance nor the fire truck will be able to get through," residents are outraged.
In an official response to the inquiry, the head of the regional center for strategic communications of PJSC "T Plus" in Kirov confirmed: repair work on the heating network has been suspended. The reason is that to continue the repairs, it is necessary to dismantle two objects that are located in the excavation site: the base of the "Vyatskaya Pechat" monument and the electrified bus stop. Both objects, according to the company, were installed in the protection zone of the heating network without coordination with "T Plus."
The letter states that the company has already held negotiations with the Pervomaisky Technical Department and the owner of the structure, demanding the objects be dismantled "as quickly as possible." However, when this will happen is not specified.
"T Plus" assured that after the objects are removed, the repair work will be completed promptly, access will be opened, and the area will be improved. For now, residents have no choice but to wait.
It should be noted that "Newsler.ru" previously reported that the "Vyatskaya Pechat" monument on Lenin was installed illegally — directly above the heating main. Meanwhile, the Kirov region government is preparing a new pedestal for the monument near the intersection of Moskovskaya and Zashchitnikov Otechestva streets.
