In Kirov, festive events have been canceled due to the threat of drones.

      At 8:47, the press service of the Kirov region government disseminated information about the cancellation of two city events planned as part of the celebration of the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation. According to the official statement, a mass workout in Gagarin Park and a ceremonial event at Alexander Nevsky Square will not take place in Kirov. The reason for the cancellation is the threat of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles. Earlier in the morning, around 7:30, residents of the region received an SMS alert about an air threat with the phone number 112 indicated. According to eyewitnesses, the siren sounded in the Zonal area before messages were received on mobile devices. The sound was brief and, according to residents, weak in volume — it was not heard with closed windows. In other districts of Kirov — in the Southwest, Fileika, and in the center — the signal was not recorded.
