A hunting calendar has been published in the Kirov region.

      A hunter's calendar for the summer-autumn-winter season of 2026–2027 has appeared in the Kirov region. The Ministry of Natural Resources of the region reminded that hunting game animals is allowed only during the established periods and in compliance with the Rules of Hunting and Safety Regulations. One of the longest seasons remains the wild boar hunting season — it started on June 1 and will last until February 28. Brown bear hunting is allowed from August 1 to December 31, and wolf hunting is also from August 1 to February 28.

      Hunting for badgers opens on August 15 and will last until October 31. On the same day, the hunting season for waterfowl, field, steppe, and marsh-meadow game begins, which will end on November 30. Hunting for woodcock will last until December 31, and for game birds until February 28.

      In September, the list of available species will expand. From September 1 to 30, hunting for adult male moose is permitted. Moose of all age and sex groups can be hunted from September 15 to January 10.

      Also, from September 15, hunting for foxes, raccoon dogs, and hares (both the European brown hare and the white hare) opens. The season will last until February 28.

      From September 10 to February 28, hunting for muskrats is allowed. From October 1 to March 31, hunting for water voles is permitted, and for beavers and otters from October 1 to February 28. Lynx hunting will begin on October 15 and end on February 28. During these same dates, American minks, martens, squirrels, weasels, forest ferrets, and stoats can also be hunted.

      Separate dates are established for hunting with trained dogs. For marsh-meadow game, hunting with them is allowed from July 25 to November 30, for game birds, steppe, and field game from August 5 to February 28, for waterfowl from August 15 to November 30, and for woodcock from August 15 to February 28.
