Young people more often choose metal accounts.

      Bank analysts are recording a steady increase in interest in this instrument across all age categories, but the most active dynamics are shown by young people. Individuals aged 18 to 25 are more actively opening metal accounts for savings formation: the number of such clients has more than doubled over the year, exceeding 6,200 people. The average portfolio in this group reaches 85,000 rubles, having increased by almost 26% over the year – the highest growth among all ages.

      In other age groups, demand for metal accounts has grown by about 1.5 times:

      26–35 years – the number of owners approached 11,700 people, with an average investment amount of 270,000 rubles (+15% over the year);

      36–45 years – the largest group (up to 29,900 people), with average savings of 195,000 rubles (+23%);

      46–60 years – more than 35,500 holders, with an average check of 574,800 rubles (+8);

      over 60 years – 13,600 clients, with an average check of 1.7 million rubles (the highest, traditionally due to clients with large capitals who use metals for diversification).

      In the banking environment, it is noted that precious metals are ceasing to be a niche product for professionals and are becoming a mass savings instrument. Interest in them evenly spans all generations. Young people are just beginning to build financial reserves, but the growth in demand in this group is an important signal of the formation of a new financial culture, reports udm-info.ru.

      Middle-aged clients use metal accounts for saving for large purchases, while the older generation perceives gold and other metals as a reliable "safety cushion." This diversification of demand confirms that unallocated metal accounts are becoming a full-fledged element of a personal financial plan at any stage of life.
