Construction of Dmitry Kozulev Street and Passage No. 2 has begun in Kirov.
According to the government of the Kirov region, the total length of Dmitry Kozulev Street will be 645.2 meters, and Passage No. 2 will be 127.9 meters. The project is being managed by the Federal Autonomous Institution "Project Directorate of the Ministry of Construction of Russia."
The project includes the construction of a two-lane roadway with asphalt concrete pavement, sidewalks and bike paths, a drainage system, installation of road signs and pedestrian barriers, marking, and landscaping, said Adel Khakimov, Deputy Head of the Federal Autonomous Institution "Project Directorate of the Ministry of Construction of Russia" in the "Housing" direction.
The contractor must complete the work by October 31, 2027, with the contract providing for the possibility of early completion.
Earlier, in June 2026, the Municipal Budgetary Institution "Capital Construction Management" announced a competition for the construction of the street with an initial contract price of 152 million rubles. In mid-July, the results of the competition were announced, and the winner was the company "SU-43." The contract was signed at the end of July, with a value of 144.4 million rubles. The work has now officially started.
