A tractor fatally crushed a Kirov resident during repairs.

      As established by the State Labor Inspectorate of the Kirov Region, the tragedy occurred with a tractor driver-operator of the agricultural production cooperative named after Comintern. During non-working hours, the man, who was in a state of alcohol intoxication, unlawfully drove the tractor outside the company's parking area. The headlights of the vehicle went out on the field road. The man decided to fix the malfunction himself and ended up under the tractor. At that moment, the vehicle began to move and ran over him. From the injuries sustained, the man died before the ambulance arrived. During the investigation, the inspectorate found that the employer had not assigned the employee to repair the tractor. Furthermore, the man used the equipment for personal purposes and was at work outside of working hours. The commission classified the incident as an accident not related to production.
