The Kirov region is lacking more than 538 thousand workers.
At the meeting, the first deputy chairman of the Kirov region government, Dmitry Kurdyumov, spoke. Among other things, he talked about the shortage of personnel. According to his report, by 2026, the overall demand for personnel in the economy is projected to be at the level of 538.2 thousand people.
The highest demand for workers this year is in the manufacturing industry — 123.4 thousand people. In second place is wholesale and retail trade, car and motorcycle repair, where the personnel demand is estimated at 90.2 thousand people.
There is a need for 46.8 thousand workers in the education sector, 41.3 thousand in healthcare and social services. In agriculture, hunting, fishing, and fish farming, the demand is 39.1 thousand people. In the field of public administration and military security, the need is 38.2 thousand people. In construction, employers require 31.3 thousand workers, and in transportation and storage — 34.8 thousand people.
According to the forecast, the overall personnel demand in the region will gradually decrease and will amount to 512.8 thousand people by 2032. At the same time, in certain sectors, the demand for workers will, on the contrary, increase. Thus, in healthcare and the social sphere, the personnel demand will rise to 42.5 thousand people.
The most noticeable reduction in personnel demand is expected in the manufacturing industry: down to 114.5 thousand people by 2032. In trade, the figure will decrease to 87.4 thousand people, and in education — to 41.3 thousand people.
