The perpetrator of the fatal traffic accident on the "Vyatka" highway has been sentenced in the Kirov region.

      According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region, the accident occurred on November 24, 2025, on the federal highway "Vyatka" in the Yuryansky District. The court established that the driver of the "FOTON" truck lost control while driving, causing the vehicle to skid into the oncoming lane. There, it collided with a "GAZ Sobol" truck. As a result of the accident, the driver of the domestic truck died at the scene, and his passenger sustained serious injuries. The court found a resident of the Komi Republic guilty of violating traffic rules, resulting in the negligent death of a person. He was sentenced to two years in prison and deprived of the right to drive vehicles for one year and six months. However, considering the personality of the defendant, his age, and other circumstances of the case, the court replaced the actual imprisonment with a suspended sentence. It is also noted that before the verdict was delivered, the man voluntarily paid compensation for moral damage to the spouse of the deceased and reimbursed the passenger injured in the accident.
