As reported by "Lenta.ru," the draft law proposes to abandon the Unified State Exam (USE) and replace it with the State Final Certification (GIA). According to Ostanina, many years of experience in conducting the Unified State Exam have revealed a number of problems. In particular, the stated goals — reducing corruption risks in university admissions and creating a unified system for assessing students' knowledge — have not been fully achieved.
