In the Kirov region, three waste sorting points will be established for 2.5 billion rubles.

      The project documentation for all three facilities has already been prepared and has passed state expertise. In February, concession agreements were signed for the construction of waste sorting stations in the Luzsky and Shabalinsky districts. In June, an agreement was signed for a comprehensive facility in the Vyatskopolyansky district. It will include a sorting line with a capacity of 20,000 tons of municipal solid waste per year, a waste placement facility, and a composting area. Financing will be through preferential loans from the PPP "Russian Environmental Operator" in the format of "green" bonds with an interest rate of 7.4% per annum. This mechanism is being used for the first time in the Kirov region. All facilities will remain in regional ownership. The cost: the station in Luza - 807 million rubles, in Shabalino - 675 million rubles, the comprehensive facility in Vyatskie Polyany - 1,079 million rubles. The facilities are planned to sort paper, cardboard, metals, glass, plastic, and PET. They promise 145 new jobs. Construction will begin in 2027, with launch in early 2029.
