A Kirov resident wanted to hide her vape purchase and lost tens of thousands of rubles.
In the Slobodsky district, police are investigating an unusual story in which a minor became a victim of fraudsters herself. As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region, a 55-year-old man contacted the police. He reported the disappearance of 58,000 rubles from his bank account. During the investigation, it was revealed that the money was transferred by his underage daughter to herself. According to the police, the schoolgirl took her father's phone without permission and sent the funds to her account. She managed to spend part of the money on personal needs. Later, the girl decided to order an electronic cigarette online for 6,000 rubles. However, the product was never delivered to her. Instead, an unknown person contacted her through one of the social networks, demanding that she transfer 41,000 rubles to him. He threatened to tell her father about the purchase and claimed that the girl allegedly faced administrative responsibility. Scared by the threats, the schoolgirl transferred the demanded amount. During a conversation with police officers, she recounted all the circumstances of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the fraud. Additionally, the question of initiating a criminal case under the extortion article is being considered. The actions of the minor will also be legally assessed.
