A Kirov resident stole someone else's bicycle to get home.

      A 53-year-old local resident approached police department No. 2 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Kirov. Early in the morning, she arrived at work on her bicycle and left it unlocked near the organization on Svobody Street. Upon returning, the woman discovered it was missing.

      Criminal investigation officers identified the suspect and detained him. He turned out to be a 24-year-old young man. He explained that he was returning home from a nightclub and, noticing the bicycle, decided to use it to get home. He left the bicycle in the entrance of his building, from where it was confiscated by the police and returned to the owner.

      A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft causing significant damage).
