In the Kirov region, they want to increase the time children spend in kindergartens.

      At the meeting of the Legislative Assembly committee, the deputies reviewed a bill amending the law "On Education in the Kirov Region." It was proposed to be adopted in two readings. Currently, the maximum time children can spend in kindergarten groups is 12 hours a day. The bill proposes to increase this to 13-14 hours a day and also to introduce groups with round-the-clock care for children. The explanatory note states that this will help working parents and that they have expressed corresponding wishes. Committee members supported the initiative. The final decision will be made at the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly. If the bill passes, it will come into effect on January 1, 2027. Its implementation is estimated to require about 15 million rubles. There is a need to increase the time children spend in kindergartens in 56 municipal institutions.
