Fraudsters stole 795 million rubles from residents of the Kirov region.

      In the past period of 2026, 2,071 residents of the Kirov region have fallen victim to remote scammers (56 in the last week). The victims lost 795 million rubles (10.9 million rubles in a week). Most often, the scammers posed as employees of the prosecutor's office, FSB, tax service, Bank of Russia, "Gosuslugi," postal service, "Energosbyt," and children's camps. This year, the regional prosecutor's office, in an effort to protect the rights and interests of the victims, filed 731 lawsuits (25 in a week) for the recovery of funds from account holders (droppers) and 49 lawsuits to declare invalid the loan agreements concluded under the influence of the perpetrators.
