A carpenter from Kirs received a serious injury: the inspection found violations at the employer's site.

      During an unscheduled on-site inspection of the employer, violations of state regulatory requirements for labor protection were identified. It was established that the band sawmill lacks operational documentation; the individual entrepreneur has not developed or approved a labor protection management system; and a professional risk assessment has not been conducted at the frame worker's workplace. As a result, systematic measures for managing professional risks at the workplaces are not being implemented.

      Following the inspection, the employer was issued a directive to rectify the identified violations of labor legislation.

      Alexey Loginov, Deputy Head of the State Labor Inspectorate, noted that the lack of proper risk assessment and systematic control in production directly affects the safety of workers. The agency continues to monitor the elimination of violations.

      Let us remind you that the incident occurred on July 3. A 42-year-old frame worker slipped on a log while sawing wood, and his leg got caught under the operating band saw. The man was hospitalized with serious injuries. A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident under Part 1 of Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of labor protection requirements).
